STURGILL SIMPSON IN THE BIG APPLE

New York, NY – Still riding high after taking home the Grammy for Best Country Album back in February for their third album “A Sailor’s Guide to Earth”, Kentucky’s Sturgill Simpson is in the midst of a busy September touring throughout the United States. Along for the ride is SES who has provided audio packages for Sturgill Simpson for the past three years.

Returning to New York City for the first time since competing for Album of the Year against Adele, Sturgill Simpson added to their list of accomplishments by selling out Radio City Music Hall last Thursday evening. While the group has previously played at various venues across New York City, this marked the first time they performed at the home of The Rockettes.

Having always focused on presenting the audience with an authentic acoustic experience, Sturgill Simpson relies on SES to provide a fully analog package centered around two 48 channel Midas Heritage 3000s. SES utilized partner SET (Special Event Transportation) to safely and efficiently transport these consoles in addition to the rest of the audio package for the duration of the tour.

Before their current leg of shows concludes next month in San Francisco, Sturgill Simpson heads west with stops throughout the Midwest including an evening in Morrison, CO at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
